Surrealism in the Car Spares Yard
In 2005 I created three monsters at the entrance to Langford's Car Spares Yard near Shaftesbury in Dorset. I used pieces from the 1000 cars spread over four acres. The one on the right was made from a Deux Chevaux. In the photo below is also another of the monsters. I was inspired by the mediaeval gargoyles that survive in the nearby museum showing fragments of the Abbey of Shaftesbury.
