| Hercules and a Monster |
| Hercules was strangling snakes in the cradle and spent a lifetime killing monstrous beasts such as the Hydra credited with seven heads, nine heads even fifty heads. Another monster killed by Hercules was Ladon with 100 heads. The one portrayed here would have been a walkover for Hercules as it has merely two sets of jaws. |
