Sky Arts was to make a sculpture partially beforehand from old DVD and VCR machines and complete over a weekend with the aid of arts students. This is work in progress on the stand. There were two ideas behind it: that of bookworms in deference to the literary festival and mediaeval gargoyles - a reference to the superb carvings in nearby Kilpeck Church
