| Three Magi Galloping |
| I wanted a tableau that I could photograph for a Christmas card and I chose the theme of the Three Magi on their way to Bethlehem following the star. A bronze sculpture by Bonnano in Pisa of c 1187 shows them on horseback with crowns on their head, the Three Kings of the Orient. I have imagined them galloping and their crowns askew. The star started life as a hubcap. The horses' head were bicycle bits and the body of the central horse was a motorbike frame. . |
