A garden is full of insects so sculptural versions fit in perfectly. The Giant Spider opposite is translucent and suits this sunny spot. When the sun is at a certain angle it shimmers. In the moonlight it turns into a ghost. In the wind the web quivers. Its body is 204 inches 81cms long. It hangs from a web about 480 inches, 12.2 metres wide and high. The eyes are Domestos bleach bottles recycled. I have done another spider in stainless steel silver stripes to hang in a dark spot among trees for a client.
